31 Days of Fall Fun {Day 4}: Two Fall Wall Décor Ideas

Idea 1:

I feel like I might be cheating a little bit by calling this a “project” because it is so simple and easy.

I picked up a few paint chips from my local Walmart in some festive fall colors. The Glidden paint chips were the perfect size to fit in my 5x7 frame.

I overlapped them a bit and then taped them together on the back.

I then found a pretty leaf from the yard to layer with the paint chips for even more fall flavor.

Then I put the frame back together and hung it on the wall. Yup, that’s it. Not exactly rocket science, but who cares? It’s cute. It’s cheap. It looks a little modern.

Ack. Photographing reflective surfaces is tough. Sorry. I couldn’t figure out how to photograph this any better with my crappy camera skills.

Idea 2:

Ok, this isn’t a project but it is inspiration for one. I hope.

Last year I found these felt placemats for a buck at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Loved ‘em and I thought they’d make  awesome fall wall decorations. Aren’t they cute?

I think these could easily be recreated by cutting the leaf shapes out of felt from a craft store.

Someone should try it and let me know how it turns out. Ok? Thanks.

  2. Great idea with the paint chips! I always collect them because I love all the pretty colors but then never actually get around to doing anything with them. So festive to add a leaf for fall.

  3. Oh my gosh , Paint color samples! One of my favorite thinks to look through at any store -in fact I keep several colors in my purse just to pull out and let my imagination run to how I could use these colors. I am definately going to make this project -Thanks for the great idea. Oh what color are your walls? Very pretty with the white trim :-)

But I MORE than understood what you were going for and your project turned out great. Loved the placements as art too. Very festive :D
