31 Days of Fall Fun {Day 8}: Indian Summer and 7 S'mores Recipes

We are experiencing a few days of Indian summer-like conditions. The days have been in the upper 80s and the evenings have been in the 60s-- and windy! So we are taking advantage of these beautiful, fleeting Fall evenings by camping near a local lake.

My absolute favorite thing about camping is the necessary campfire dessert-- s'mores.

Judging from the amount of recipes and varieties of s'mores available on the internet, I don't think I'm alone in my affection for the gooey dessert.

Without further ado, seven delicious s'mores recipes:

Weekend Bloggy Reading

  1. Oh my goodness -Everyone one of the recipes is wonderrful -but how cute are the s'mores in a jar -That would make a great ending to a meal shared with friends :-)

  2. Make sure you have a phone book handy (preferably a small one from New Mexico) for lighting the campfire, along with a good campfire dance. And don't melt your shoes.

  3. Haha! Josh made me take my really old tennis shoes, just in case I melted them again.
I thought about laying notebook paper straight across the fire wood and trying to light it too, for old times sake.

  4. I know, they would be perfect, wouldn't they? You should make them and tell me about it. :)

I'd love to hear what you have to say. All comments that are kind, helpful, and relevant are welcome.
