It wouldn't be fall without a few pumpkin recipes. Life's been a bit hectic around here, so I appreciated how quickly this dip came together. The original recipe did not include the chocolate chips, but I think they really work well with the pumpkin. You can, of course, make it sans chocolate.
I already had the chocolate graham crackers. They were delicious with the dip. You could also use regular graham crackers or any mildly sweet cookie or wafer.
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Dip

6 oz. 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Beat together the first three ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir in the remaining ingredients and chill for at least a half hour. The mixture should firm up a bit. Serve cold and with graham crackers or other wafer cookies.
