My sister has quite a few apple trees at her home, so I've been looking for different ways to enjoy this seasonal fruit. Baking them in a bit of butter, honey, and cinnamon is probably close to as good as it gets for a healthy dessert.
Baked Honey Apple SlicesAdapted from Well Fed Homestead
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pats
A sprinkle of cinnamon
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut the apples into thin slices and arrange in a single layer in a pie plate.
- Drizzle the honey and sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples.
- Dot the small pats of butter around the apples.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
